BKS Iyengar is considered one of the foremost yoga teachers in the world. He was the author of "Light on Yoga", which sold three million copies and was translated into 17 languages. Iyengar practiced three hours of pranayamas and asanas daily into his 90's. He and his students created a worldwide, highly respected yoga system that continues to thrive today. It is known for its use of props and for its therapeutic properties.
The Rasta version of this design is the iconic representation of BKS Iyengar in Siva Natarajasana. The translation is "Dance King Pose", or Lord of the Dance. It is a reminder that we are here to dance the cosmic dance of life.
